Total Voice is founded by Vocal Coach and Singer / Songwriter Christine Mulgrew. Christine is currently studying for a degree in Music Performance specialising in vocals at The Academy of Music and Sound in Southampton. Inspired by the course she is also writing her own material and has just recorded her first song with planned performances in the next few months.
A bedroom singer from a young age, Christine passionately believes in the ability of music and singing to inspire, uplift and boost people's confidence. From her own experience she understands how being part of a choir or even taking a private lesson can be a life changing and deeply personal experience. Above all she believes that singing is a great way to relax, feel good and meet new friends.
Over a period of eight years she was a member of Stage One Youth Theatre in Grimsby where she appeared in many musicals and performances as a backing singer and dancer including two tours to Germany. More recently Christine has trained with vocal coach Camilla Smith at Shine Studios in Blackfield and following on from this has joined Camilla to gain teaching experience both at her company Vocalskills and also at Stagecoach Winchester where Camilla is teacher.
Vocalskills has three contemporary choirs based in Andover, Basingstoke and Kingsworthy, the first of which began over two years ago. Christine is proud that the Total Voice Contemporary Choir is now a sister choir to the Vocalskills choirs as she believes this provides a fantastic opportunity to share a wealth of information, musical arrangements and to create opportunities for the choirs to perform together.
